Volume 15, Issue 2 (2019) Town Meeting Politics in the United States: The Idea and Practice of an American Myth

This special issue presents an interdisciplinary investigation into New England Town Meetings in the United States. The issue, which is guest edited by Paula Cossart and Andrea Felicetti, includes a collection of essays that were originally published in 2016 in the French journal Participations. The essays have been translated into English and edited for the Journal of Public Deliberation. The issue concludes with two response essays from leaders in the field of public deliberation, who reflect on key lessons from the special issue.
